OFFICE CLOSED TO EXTERNAL VISITORS

Dane County Veterans Service Office

--------------Temporary Modification of Office Operations--------------

In light of the ever-evolving situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Dane County Veterans Service Office (CVSO) initially modified its operations effective March 13, 2020.  This newly updated modification supersedes the March 13 version.  Safety measures are being taken based on the unanimous recommendations and guidance of federal, state, and local health officials, particularly with regard to “flattening the curve” – or slowing down the spread – of this highly contagious pandemic.
Additional modifications may be necessary as new information is developed and events unfold; for now, these modifications will remain in place until further notice.

SOCIAL DISTANCING FOR STAFF AND CLIENTS

  • OFFICE CLOSED TO EXTERNAL VISITORS (beginning March 18, 2020).
  • Behind the scenes, CVSO staff are actively fielding phone calls, answering emails, and conducting phone appointments with clients.
  • Non-urgent appointments are being rescheduled for later dates.
  • Benefit-related paperwork will be exchanged via email, mail, or through fax.
  • If you need assistance, please call us at 608-266-4158.

HYGIENE PROTOCOLS

  • Staff shall clean counters, desks, chairs, pens, doorknobs, etc. with disinfecting wipes at least hourly.
  • Staff are strongly encouraged to wash hands with soap and water at least hourly.

We remain committed, as always, to serving Dane County’s veterans and their families; however, under these extraordinary circumstances, we must also share an equal commitment to the overall health of our community and country.  As stated, these modified operations will remain in effect until further notice, but may require further adjustment as circumstances develop.   Please follow our office updates at www.danevets.com or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/DaneVets/.

Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time!
